Brian and I actually met online, like his parents! We started talking a lot through snapchat and then he asked me to go to lunch with him. I told him I didn't have a lot of free time so I suggested dinner! Brian came up to Muncie on March 29, 2016 and took me to Olive Garden, one of my favorite restaurants and probably one of the nicest restaurants in Muncie.

After dinner I told him that I had a meeting I needed to go to. He said he would tag along, so we went to the library on campus. The meeting was for Camp Kesem, an organization I am very passionate about. Everyone at the meeting gave us a hard time and asked about our date but Brian didn't mind at all. In Kesem we go by nicknames.. mine is Pocahontas. Right off the bat, everyone started referring to Brian as "John Smith" (which they still do to this day!) I thought Brian was going to think me and my friends were crazy but he just went along with it. He sang camp songs with us and was attentive during the meeting. I knew I was going to fall hard for this guy!

We talked and laughed all night. My friend Rachel knew that I was on a date that night so she sent me the "check in text". You know- the "Do I need to come save you?" text that we occasionally have to send to each other. I told her things were going perfect and that I would text her tomorrow to tell her more about it. I texted her the next day and said, "Oh my gosh, this guy is perfect. I think I'm in love with him", part of me joking, part of me knowing that Brian was everything I ever wanted in a relationship..

On April 2, 2016, I drove to Purdue to meet Brian. We went shopping and to dinner and then drove back to his apartment. On the way to his apartment we were on the phone and he was telling me about Purdue's campus. After leaving me stranded at a few yellow (red) lights, I was giving him a hard time about his driving. A few minutes later, he accidentally told me he loved me on the phone and immediately changed the subject. Knowing he didn't mean to tell me he loved me, I just pretended I didn't notice. After we got back to his apartment we needed to run to the store for something. We were driving and I continued to give Brian a hard time because he wanted to continue to get to know each other better before we "officially start dating". Shortly after I brought it up, he agreed that we should make things "official" that night and we did. After being back at the apartment for a few hours, I decided to ask B about whether or not he meant what he said earlier, if he thought he loved me or not. He said he did, but that he didn't want to scare me away. But I told him that he didn't scare me and that I loved him too!

I've never been one to believe in fairytales or love at first sight, but that's definitely what happened in this case!
