Volcano and Waterfall Hike

Start a hike down the stepped path of high basaltic rock walls, taking about 15 minutes to reach La Fortuna Waterfall. Lunch is the next step, a delicious traditional meal will be waiting for you in our restaurant near downtown La Fortuna. After lunch, you will have some time to hang out before we begin the Volcano hike. We will choose one of several trails through the tropical rainforest and cross the solidified lava trails from the massive 1968 eruption. We will observe a variety of plants, animals, and rock formations. At the top of the trail we will have an amazing view of Lake Arenal.
