We were engaged in St. Louis on July 2, 2016.  Every 4th of July weekend we take a trip to watch one of our baseball teams, the Milwaukee Brewers or the Chicago White Sox, play in a city out of town.  This year we decided to have a little fun and make the trip really memorable.  It was freezing cold in St. Louis and Sarah knew I had the ring (she's a bit of a control freak for those of you who don't know, and I knew she had to pick out her own ring).  By the 2nd, she still hadn't had her ring and she was storming around, almost in a fit.  I ended up proposing to her in the hotel bathroom while she was putting on her makeup.  How's that for romance ;)  Her response?  "Aren't you going to get down on one knee?"  I sure did!
