Bride

This love affair started over 16 years ago.  Anybody that knows me, knows I like to have fun.  Club Yesterday's in Southfield was one of my favorites for dancing and hanging out with friends.   One hot summer night, I was sipping an Apple Maritini.  Now, I know I was in my glory, looking good if I do say so myself.  This attractive man approached me and said, "Can I please have this dance?"  I said yes and we danced long enough for him make me laugh.  He bought me another drink and asked for my number.  We talked for the rest of the night and being ever the gentleman, he walked me to my car and opened my door.  He kissed me on the cheek goodnight and said it was so I wouldn't forget him.  To my surprise, he called me to make sure I was safe and talked to me until I made it to my home.

A couple of days went by before he called me and asked me on a date. I said “yes” and that was the beginning of our relationship (seriously but secretly).  We couldn't seemed to get it right and dated off and on until we decided to call it quits and separated.  Fast forward years later, past failed relationships and heartachce, we reunited.  These life lessons taught us that what we started years ago was a rare find.

After 6 months of dating (again) we wanted to do this the right way - by becoming husband and wife. On June 26, 2017 - I said YES!!!!  Over a year later, we are still as excited as the day we got engaged. God has blessed us abundantly.

On February 19, 2019 we will say “I do” and become Mr. and Mrs. Canty on the island of Jamaica.

We look forward to expressing our love in front of God, Family, and Friends.

Love,

Sherita

Groom

I'm not a man of many words, but Club Yesterday's will always have good memories for me.  I walked in just wanting to enjoy the night off from work and found the surprise of my life.  A woman I spent the night talking, laughing and dancing with.  I didn't know what the future held, but I knew she would be in it.  We may have lost our way for a moment, but with Sherita I found I am blessed to find not only that love again, but a friend and confidante. She is loyal to a fault and defends those she loves with a vengeance.  I am so glad I get to call her my forever, my future, my wife.

Thankful,

Steve
