Kristal & Tez’s Love Story

Kristal and Tez’s story began in Texas at the start of 2025. What started as long phone conversations quickly grew into something deeper. They spent hours getting to know one another, talking through their dos and don’ts, and taking their time to build a strong foundation.

On March 8, 2025, they had their first date at Uncle Julio’s, and from that moment, everything felt natural and easy. By May, they were ready to share their relationship, hosting a party where Kristal’s friends had the chance to meet Tez. The following day, friends called, sharing how much they liked him and saying, “What you see is what you get.”

A special bond developed between Tez and Kristal’s mother, Kristice Lynn Armstrong Douse, who shared his love of gardening and fishing. Kristal’s mother loved fresh fish and was looking forward to going fishing with Tez during his next visit to Florida.

In June, tragedy struck when Kristal lost her mother. During that difficult time, Tez was a pillar of support, standing by Kristal mentally, physically, and emotionally. Before leaving Florida in July, Tez asked Evelyn and Blanchee, Kristal’s mother’s best friends for more than 48 years, for their blessing to marry Kristal. His original plan was to ask for her hand during their fishing trip but the women happily gave their blessings on behalf of her mother.

In October, Kristal and Tez took a much-needed Royal Caribbean cruise together. On the second day, Kristal fell in love with a gorgeous ring aboard the cruise. On the third day, October 21, 2025, Tez got down on one knee, expressed his love, and asked Kristal to marry him. Right then and there, she said yes to forever.

Their journey together has been filled with love, resilience, and joy. As they prepare to celebrate their wedding, Kristal and Tez are thrilled to share this special day with each of their guests and look forward to creating memories together surrounded by the people they love.
