OUR ADVENTURE

How We Met: We both met at Bloomsburg University in 2018 during our freshman year of college. We both were on separate intramural teams that combined for an indoor volleyball team where we first met and became good friends. After some time being friends, we started to see each other more and spent most of our time with one another and realized there was something special there. A few days later, we became boyfriend and girlfriend when we went on our first date to West End Ale Haus in Bloomsburg. The rest is history!

Our Proposal: (From the point of view of Matthew) On April 8th, 2023, I proposed to the most amazing person in my life, and I’ll take you through the whole experience! We went home on a weekend and on that Saturday, Abby went with my sister, Katelyn, who I trusted to keep this big secret (the same person who could not keep a secret to save her life when we were younger) to go get their nails done and go shopping. While they did this, I set up lights and hung pictures from our entire relationship from those lights with candles lining the walkway. I invited her family as well as mine to the proposal. When she walked in the door, she was met with complete surprise and walked up. I told her I loved her so much and I could not wait to spend my life with her as I got down on one knee and asked this incredible girl to marry me. She said yes (obviously)!

Relationship Timeline: We went through all four years of college, and both graduated from Bloomsburg. Then, we both moved to Syracuse, NY into our first apartment together where Matthew has been completing a master’s degree at Syracuse University. Abby has been teaching 2nd grade as well as obtaining her own master’s degree during this time. We have gone on so many adventures together with ourselves and family members with plenty of memories to fill a lifetime. We have loved traveling and creating new experiences for each other, and we have always looked for new adventures to share! After the wedding, we are planning on continuing these adventures with a honeymoon to Europe while exploring multiple countries!

We look forward to an evening full of laughs, smiles, and memories with friends and family! We are excited to have everyone at our wedding to be a part of this chapter in our love story! We hope you enjoyed learning a little about our story!
